We offer open access to our facilities and purchasing a block of hours allows you to process film, print in the darkroom, and use the digital lab to scan and process files.

Hanging out is always free! Our lab hours are self-tracked and offered on a sliding scale, with discounts available. We never want cost to be a barrier to accessing the Tacoma Photo Center. If pricing is ever a concern, please reach out and we’re happy to work with you. Email us for additional info.

What Is Included:

Self Development: Includes Color & B&W chemistry, developing tanks/reels, tools, timers, and use of film dryers.

Darkroom: Includes use of enlargers, standard chemistry, trays, timers, wash area, and shared print tools.

Computer Lab: Includes use of desktop computers, film scanners, and scanning / editing software.

Disclosure: Lab hours include shared access to equipment and standard chemistry. Photo paper, specialty chemicals, and certain consumables may require separate purchase or advanced notice. This is a shared space and equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lab hours apply only while actively using the lab (not while socializing or hanging out). Minors may require parent or guardian consent before handling photographic chemicals. Appropriate clothing and personal protection are recommended. Gloves are available & recommended.
